NEVADA SET TO HOST UNLV AND NO. 2 OREGON STATE

Nevada is ready to play its two biggest series of the season, as it hosts intrastate rival UNLV for a three-game series this weekend and No. 2 and defending national champion Oregon State for two contests ... All five games will be broadcast live on 94.1 FM/1450 AM with John Ramey on the call ... All games except Saturday will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network, with Monday night's contest against the Beavers televised by Stadium on channel 182 in the Reno/Sparks area ... SIDEARM Stats will provide live stats for each contest ... Nevada is looking for revenge against the Rebels after losing two of three games on the road to its rival earlier in the season ... The Wolf Pack got the last laugh in that series, however as it scored three runs in the ninth to send the game to extra innings where the Pack won thanks to a Joshua Zamora solo shot in the 10th inning ... Last season, Nevada went 3-3 against the Rebels in the regular season ... Prior to winning the national championship last season, Nevada traveled to Corvallis to face No. 4 Oregon State and lost both games in extra innings ... Nevada will look to lean on its power this weekend, as the Pack boasts the most homeruns in the conference with 30 this season ... Dillan Shrum and Joshua Zamora rank second and third in the conference with eight and seven homers respectively ... Shrum's six bombs in conference play lead the Mountain West, and he hit three of those in the Pack's last meeting in Las Vegas where he hit one per game ... Nevada currently holds a 4.16 ERA, tied for the second-best in the conference ... The Pack recorded its third shutout of the season last weekend at New Mexico, thanks to a combined effort from starter Owen Sharts and reliever Grant Ford ... Max Smith of the Rebels currently leads the Mountain West with nine homeruns and the Rebels boast the best batting average in the conference at .295 ... Adley Rutschman leads the Beavers with a .413 batting average and a team-high 12 homers and 40 RBI ... The Beavers hold a team ERA of 2.83 with five pitchers holding an ERA under two.
