RENO, Nev. – As the No. 6-ranked Nevada men's basketball team ramps up to March Madness, the Wolf Pack is urging fans to ensure that every seat at Lawlor Events Center is filled for the final three home games.
The Wolf Pack has been sold out of tickets for the final stretch for months but in order to have the best environment possible at Lawlor, the athletics department wants to ensure that every ticket is used for the final three games.
"Lawlor has been rocking all season long and we want to blow the roof off the place for the homestretch of the regular season," said head coach
Eric Musselman, who has guided the Wolf Pack to a 24-2 overall record so far this season. "We have three games left at home this season and we don't want there to be an empty seat anywhere at Lawlor."
Next up for Nevada is Saturday's showdown with Fresno State, which features a 5 p.m. tip-off against the Bulldogs. The game is a whiteout and fans are asked to wear their favorite white Wolf Pack shirt to create the whiteout at Lawlor. Silver and Blue Sports, the official merchandiser of Wolf Pack Athletics, will have a discounted whiteout shirt available at its location across from Lawlor.
On Wednesday, Feb. 27, the Wolf Pack will play host to rival UNLV in what promises to be one of most memorable games in Pack history. Nevada will retire the number 22 of legendary forward Nick Fazekas at halftime of the game. The game is also a "StripeOut" as free t-shirts will be handed out with different colors for different sections of Lawlor, creating a striped appearance in the arena. Every seat will receive a free shirt and fans are asked to wear them during the game for the StripeOut. Tip-off is 8 p.m.
Senior night is set for Saturday, March 9, as the Wolf Pack will see seven seniors, including
Jordan Caroline and Caleb and
Cody Martin, play their final home game at Lawlor Events Center as Nevada plays host to San Diego State at 7:30 p.m.
For season-ticketholders who cannot use their tickets for any of the three games, it's easy to transfer tickets to a friend, or upload them to StubHub, Nevada's official partner for the secondary ticket market. Season-ticketholders can also call their account representative for assistance.
