RENO, Nev. – The Nevada women's basketball team will conclude non-conference action this weekend as it welcomes the Cal Poly Mustangs to Reno for a contest this Saturday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. from Lawlor Events Center.
It also marks the Wolf Pack's final game of 2019 as its next contest will be on New Year's Day next Wednesday evening at Colorado State. Nevada is coming off of a split at the Women of Troy Classic last weekend in Los Angeles where it fell in a close game to tournament-host USC, 50-47, and knocked off UTRGV in a neutral site game, 62-57. Cal Poly enters Saturday's game having lost its last two games, including a 72-49 loss last time out to Seattle.
Nevada has a chance to finish its non-conference slate with a winning record for the second time in the past three years with a win on Saturday. If the Pack can knock off the 2-7 Mustangs, it would finish non-league action at 7-4. Nevada also finished non-conference play at 7-4 two years ago in
Amanda Levens' first season as head coach where the team went on to win 19 games, tied for second-most in program history.
ON THE AIR
Doug Greenwald will have the call in Northern Nevada for both games this weekend on CBS Sports Radio 94.1 FM and 1450 AM with a 20 minute pregame show prior to tipoff. Fans can also tune in to listen to Greenwald's broadcast online at TuneIn.com or via the TuneIn app.
The game will also be live streamed on the Mountain West Network.
