RENO, Nev. - Nevada Women's Basketball will go international this weekend, heading to Vancouver, B.C. from August 1-4 to compete in the BBall Nationals exhibition tournament hosted by Front Court Events.

The Wolf Pack will play four games against international opponents, beginning on Sunday against the Birds at 12:50 p.m., followed by a doubleheader on Monday taking on the JABOGS at 12:50 p.m. and the Cascades at 4:20 p.m. Nevada will round out its trip on Tuesday against BC Selects at 10:30 a.m. 

In April of this year, the NCAA changed guidelines for foreign tours from every four years to allowing teams to take one annually. The last time Nevada Women's Basketball took a trip outside of the United States was in 2023, also to Canada. 

With seven new players and a new coaching staff led by head coach Kelly Sopak, this will be the first opportunity for the team to face outside competition ahead of the season starting in early November. 

"We had a great spring and an even better summer both individually and collectively. The Canada trip allows us  to strengthen our connection, our commitment and our competitiveness on and off the court," said Sopak. "I am excited for our players and coaching staff for this amazing opportunity!"

Nevada returns nine players, led by seniors Izzy Sullivan, Amelia Raidaveta and Imbie Jones. Sullivan ended third on the team in scoring last season with 246 points, and has the opportunity to reach 1,000 career points as well as crack the program top ten in career made 3-pointers. Also returning is Gabby Ramos, Olivia Poulivaati, Hanna Jolinder, Britain Backus, Kendra Hicks and Elle Motherway.
