RENO, Nev. - After close to a month off from competition, the Nevada women's swim team is back in action. The Pack travels to San Diego, Calif. to take part in the San Diego Shootout, hosted by the University of San Diego.
The Pack is coming off an extensive break from which it has not competed since Dec. 8 against Boise State. Currently, Nevada is 4-1 on the year in dual meets but has finished in the top 5 in each of the invitationals this season. The most recent invite was the Phill Hansel Invite, hosted by Houston, the Pack finished fourth with 863 points in just swim events.
Following the Boise State dual meet, freshman Julia Adamczyk was named the Wolf Pack Student Athlete of the Week. She was the lone swimmer, on either team, to win multiple events.
The USD Shootout will see four teams in total with San Jose State and Dixie State joining Nevada and host team, San Diego. This will be the second time the Spartans of San Jose State and the Pack meet in the pool. The first was at the Pacific Invitational which saw Nevada taking first with 845.5 points versus the 345 points for San Jose State.
Seniors Jamie Reynolds, Rebecca Murray and Caitlyn Richardson along with junior Andressa Cholodovskis have continued to lead the Pack in competition. Combined, they make up the 400 free relay squad, which leads the Mountain West with a time of 3:19.30. Richardson, Murray, Cholodovskis and Caitlyn McHugh lead the conference in the 800 free relay while the 400 medley squad also leads conference.

Following this meet Nevada will host UNLV in a dual meet on January 15. It will also be senior day with recognition happening prior to competition.
