Those who medaled at championships earn honor

RENO, Nev. - Following their performances at the 2018 Mountain West Outdoor track & field championships, four Nevada Wolf Pack student-athletes have picked up All-Mountain West honors.

The list includes sophomores Karoline Sauer and Nora Beinlich, senior Brittany Graves and freshman Alex Bohlman. Sauer and Beinlich both medaled in the 400 meter hurdles, taking first and third, respectively. Sauer also set the school record with her time of 59.21. Graves brought home the bronze medal in the triple jump, while Bohlman won bronze in the javelin.

Sauer's time of 59.21 in the 400 meter hurdles set a program record, while her teammate Beinlich clocked in at 60.81, No. 6 on the all-time list. Graves solidified her No. 3 all-time list ranking with a personal record jump of  41 feet and 3.5 inches (12.58m). Bohlman's third place throw measured in at 146 feet and 8 inches (44.71m)

Now, the Pack track & field team will wait until later this week for final declarations to see who qualifies to move on to the NCAA West Preliminary Round. Lists are expected Thursday or Friday.
