The Nevada Wolf Pack held its annual Scholar-Athlete Banquet Tuesday night, celebrating the Pack's student-athletes off the field.

The evening began with opening statements from senior athletics director of intercollegiate services Brian Barrio and athletics director Doug Knuth. Highlighting the night was guest speaker Carissa Welch, a Nevada women's basketball alum. During her time here, Welch was named the NCAA student-athlete of the state for Nevada and earned senior scholar honors from the University's School of Medicine.

Dameon Baber from Nevada football and Aaliyah Gibson from the softball squad brought home the Dr. Exline award. Honoring those who have made leaps and bounds in their academics since coming to Nevada, the honor is named after longtime faculty athletics representative Dr. Exline. Tennis' Peter O'Donovan and Meagan Wood from Wolf Pack track were named the scholar athletes of the year,

Nevada swim & dive brought home the Huneycutt team GPA award, having earned a team GPA of 3.482 in 2017.
