Box Score 2 ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – With two dominating road victories on Saturday, the Nevada men's tennis team (4-0) remains undefeated in dual play after taking down Sonoma State (0-1) and Holy Names (0-1) both by a score of 6-1. The Wolf Pack went undefeated in doubles play on the day with six victories total.
The first match of the day came at SSU, where the Pack began with three victories in doubles to take the first point of the match. Senior
Robert Margitfalvi and freshman
Jeremy Merville earned the first victory over Nate Oppenheim and Sean Alves on court 1 with a 6-3 win. Senior
Peter O'Donovan and freshman
Dylan Levitt clinched the point for the Pack on court 2 by defeating Allan Lock and Igor Pissarenko 6-3.
Margitfalvi made the score 2-0 by finishing the first singles match with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Alves on court 2. Sonoma would secure its only point of the match on court 6, as Levitt fell to Alec Wong 6-4, 6-4. Junior
Jonathan Aremon earned a 7-6, 6-3 victory on court No. 3 and O'Donovan would clinch the match by taking down Pissarenko 7-6, 6-2 on court four. Merville and junior
Augustin Delahodde would also secure victories on courts 1 and 5 to make the final score 6-1 Nevada.
Not long after, the Pack would stay on SSU's courts to face Holy Names. The doubles domination continued for Nevada, winning all three matches and boasting a 36-16 record on the season including 10-2 in dual play. The clinching point came from Margitfalvi and Merville, who defeated Alex Vinee-Munoz and Hugo Colpart on court 1 by a score of 6-2. Each of the other two doubles victories were 6-2 victories as well.
???????Aremon earned the first singles victory on court 3 after only surrendering one game with a 6-0, 6-1 victory, and sophomore
Kostya Nesterenko made the score 3-0 on court 1 after defeating Colpart 6-2, 6-1. The clinching point came from Levitt, whose first singles victory in dual play in his collegiate career gave the Pack the win on court 6.
Julien Evrard was victorious on court 2 and Delahodde's court 5 win gave Nevada its 6-1 victory over HNU.
