RENO, Nev. – To kick off its spring season, the Nevada men's golf team will head over into California for a dual match against Mountain West foe San José State dubbed 'King of the Mountain.'
 
"It's great to be back in competition after a few months away," said head coach Jacob Wilner. "We've had great practices and a great qualifying session leading up to this and we're ready to compete."
 
The event will be held at The Ridge, a golf course in Auburn, Calif. and will be a 36-hole match play format. This will be the Wolf Pack's first time competing since it wrapped up its fall season at the Saint Mary's Invitational Nov. 8. Monday also marks the Pack's only match play event this season.
 
Wilner will send six members of the Wolf Pack to Auburn to compete against the Spartans. Leading the way for the Pack is senior Grant Booth, who had one of the best fall campaigns in program history. Booth finished the five-event fall season with a scoring average of 70.4, which is on pace to set the single season record. Also headed to Auburn will be freshman Joey Vrzich, senior Kaleb Gorbahn, junior Jooho Lee and sophomores Sam Harned and Stephen Osborne.
