HOUSTON, Texas - The Nevada swim team is currently sitting fourth after having a solid start to the weekend. There are two more days of competition at the Phill Hansel Invitational, wrapping up Sunday afternoon. 

The 200-yard free relay posted a new school record, a record that has been standing since 1999. The squad comprised of seniors Jamie Reynolds, Rebecca Murray and Caitlyn Richardson along with junior Andressa Cholodovskis not only broke the record but also won the event. With a time of 1:31.10, the relay team came up first before 29 others. 

In the 500 free, the Pack saw two top 20 finishers with Caitlyn McHugh finishing fifth with a time of 4:50.31 and adding 25 points to the team score. Lindsey Soule came in 19th with a time of 4:54.97 for an additional six team points to bring the total to 95. 

Nevada showed up strong in the 200 IM, placing five in the top 20. Cholodovskis took first with an NCAA "B" standard time of 1:58.49 and an individual point high of 32. Donna dePolo came in 10th and scored 17 points with a time of 2:02.41. Julia Adamczyk finished 13th and Caitlyn Richardson in 15th. The Pack raked up 75 points in just one event to push them to 170 points. 

The final individual event of the night was the 50 yard free. Seniors Reynolds and Murray finished second and fourth in a stacked field with over 90 entries. Reynolds had a time of 22.99 and Murray with a time of 23.12, adding 54 points. 

Imogen Watson, dePolo, Cholodovskis and Murray in the 400 medley relay conclude the night with a third place finish after a time of 3:40.25. Nevada ended the day with 278 points total. 

The Pack continues competition tomorrow, Nov. 17 at 8 a.m. with prelims and finals beginning at 4 p.m. PT.
