RENO, Nev. – Nevada women's golf coach
Kathleen Takaishi has signed three to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period.

Kaitlin Fleiner – 5-5 – Sparks, Nev. /Reed High School
Fleiner is a local product hailing from Sparks and Reed High School. During her time at Reed Fleiner has picked up many accolades, including four first team all-league honors, three first team all-region selections, a second team all-state honor, was twice named the High Desert League Player of the Year and is a two-time member of the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Best of Nevada Preps All-Star team. Additionally she was selected as the Raiders MVP all four years of high school.
She compiled a scoring average of 75.0 her senior year and has a low tournament round of 71, which helped her capture the title at the John Whalen Tournament of Champions in 2018. Outside of high school, Fleiner has competed in the American Junior Golf Association, Northern Nevada Junior Golf Association, Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, Northern California Golf Association and the Junior Golf Association of Northern California.
Leah John – 5-8 – Vancouver, B.C., Canada/York House School
An international recruit from Canada, John was a three-sport athlete in golf, basketball and volleyball. In 2017 her team representing her golf club captured the Champions Golf Tournament title and followed that up with a zone championship in 2018. She represented Team BC at the Canadian Nationals this year and helped her team to a second place finish. John is a two-time women's club champion at Marine Drive Golf Club in Vancouver and twice was named the most improved junior at Marine Drive. In 2017 she captured the individual crown on the Maple Leaf Junior Tour.
Outside of golf, John is heavily involved in community service. She has taken a service trip to Guatemala where she worked with orphaned children, ran the Mental Wellness Club at her high school, was the recipient of the Initiative Award for her work in the community and school, and received the Citizenship Award for being a scholar and leader in her community.
Anitra Khoth – 5-4 – Stockton, Calif./Lincoln High School
Khoth, who hails from Stockton, Calif. and Lincoln High School, is a four-year letterwinner in golf. During her four years she helped her team to back-to-back conference titles in 2015 and 2016 and four straight league championships. Khoth finished her first three years as the overall individual champion in league play and was the overall section champion in 2016 and in 2018.
Additionally she was the first female to qualify for the state championship out of her high school. Outside of high school she was the junior champion for the Pinoy Open in back-to-back years (2017, 2018) with the Filipino Men's Club.
