HENDERSON, Nev. – Following the opening round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, hosted by UNLV, the Nevada women's golf team is tied for 10
th place.
The Wolf Pack, playing against a tough field, carded a team score of 5-over (293) on Sunday and is tied with UC Riverside for 10
th in the 16-team field. Missouri leads the tournament after the first 18 holes at 13-under and is two strokes ahead of tournament-host UNLV. Just seven of the 16 participating teams finished day one under par.
Individually for Nevada all five players shot very respectable scores as no one carded lower than a 2-over 74 and had anything worse than a bogey on their scorecard. Senior
Celyn Khoo, who has historically played well at this event, fired an even par round of 72 to lead the Pack. Khoo posted a balanced day on the course with three birdies and three bogeys to finish even for the day. She enters round two tied for 31
st in the 96-player field.
Junior
Kaitlin Collom is one back of her teammate after carding a 1-over 73 on Sunday. She made birdie on No. 2 and No. 12 and is currently tied for 39

Jenny Krause, all tie for the day with a 2-over 74 and enter Monday tied for 48
th in the field.
Emma Allen of Missouri owns the individual lead after the opening round after posting a 7-under 65. She leads by one shot over Ingrid Gutierrez of New Mexico.
