RENO, Nev. – Senior
Claudia Herrero continues her busy fall season at the ITA All-American Championships this week. The senior is 4-3 in singles play so far this fall.
Two weeks ago, Herrero participated in the ITA Masters tournament where she went 2-2 and advanced all the way to the semifinals of the consolation bracket before losing to Alexandria Stiteler of South Alabama.
This past weekend the senior was in Berkeley with her team for the Cal Invitational. Herrero went 2-1 in singles in the tournament and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Blue Singles bracket.
Herrero is coming off her junior season in which she was named the Mountain West Player of the Year, the first time a member of the Nevada women's tennis team has won the award. The native of Salamanca, Spain went 18-11 and 3-1 against Mountain West opponents.
