The Nevada Wolf Pack will join the fight against cancer this week, wearing pink jerseys in its games this week as part of the Coaches vs. Cancer movement.
Coaches vs. Cancer is a longtime collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Through basketball's national platform, the movement to raise awareness, empathy and necessary funds for the fight against cancer. Since its inception in 1993, Coaches vs. Cancer has raised more than $100 million dollars for the important cause. The Wolf Pack's pink jerseys were made possible by a very generous donation from Reno Dodge.
"We'll be wearing our pink jerseys in honor of all those currently fighting cancer and all those who have lost the battle," said head coach Eric Musselman. "Let's all continue to fight this terrible disease."
Nevada will don the jerseys at Boise State on Wednesday and in Lawlor Events Center against New Mexico on Saturday.
