Continuing her consistent play this season, Nevada women’s basketball sophomore Imani Lacy has been named the Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the Week.
For the week, which included a pair of games, Lacy averaged 14.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. She was instrumental in helping guide the Pack to its fifth win of the season last week against Stanislaus State, recording the first double-double of her career with a team-high 16 points and career-high 10 rebounds. Lacy shot 53.8 percent from the field in that game and combined to shoot 42.3 percent for the week. In the Pack’s road contest at Utah, she notched 13 points to secure her eighth game in double figures this season. Lacy also added four blocks, three steals and two assists to her week.
Lacy has been one of the Wolf Pack’s most consistent players this season as she currently leads the team and ranks 12th in the Mountain West in scoring, averaging 13.2 points per game. She has been a force in blocked shots, leading the conference at 1.67 blocks per game and has recorded 15 total blocks on the year. Additionally Lacy has scored in double figures in all but one game and ranks seventh in the league in free throw percentage, hitting 71.7 of her foul shots.
