Nevada track and field sophomore Nicola Ader has been named this week’s Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the Week. Ader finished in the top 10 of the high jump and long jump at last week’s NCAA West Preliminaries, and qualified for next week’s NCAA Outdoor National Championships in Austin, Texas. This is the fourth time this season that Ader has been earned the honor.
The native of Affolterbach, Germany finished tied for first in the high jump with a leap of 5’ 10.75” (1.81 meter), and seventh in the long jump with a mark of 20’ 5.75” (6.24 m). Both marks qualify her for the national championships, where she is already set to compete in the heptathlon. Ader is the first from Nevada to compete in three events at the national championships, and the indoor Second team All-American can become the first to be named to two All-American teams in one year.
