Freshman goalkeeper Kendal Stovall has been named the Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the Week after helping Nevada secure two wins to open its season. The Mililani, Hawai’i native earned the win in both contests, allowing only one goal all weekend.

In her collegiate debut against Idaho, Stovall posted a shutout with four saves to help lead Nevada to its first win of the season. She currently holds a save percentage of .875 this year.

At UC Davis, she made three saves while leading Nevada to a 2-1 victory over the Aggies. Stovall faced 15 corner kicks, but did not allow a goal on any of them to help the Pack reach its first 2-0 record since 2006.

Nevada will head off to play Weber State for its next match on Aug. 24. The Pack will be back in Mackay Stadium on Sept. 13 against Hawai’i with tickets on sale now.
