Following a remarkable run at the Mountain West Women’s Basketball Tournament last week, senior T Moe has been named the Bradley, Drendel & Jeanney Athlete of the Week.
Moe played an inspired four games of basketball that culminated in the Wolf Pack’s first ever appearance in the Mountain West Championship game. For the week Moe averaged 19.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while connecting on 42.0 percent of her field goals and 85.7 percent of her free throws. She was named to the five person Mountain West All-Tournament team for her strong play.
She began the week by scoring a career-high 29 points, grabbed seven rebounds, hit three 3-pointers and went 12-of-14 from the free throw line to help Nevada eliminate No. 10 seed San Diego State in overtime. From there she helped lead the seventh seeded Wolf Pack to upset wins in the quarterfinals where it knocked out No. 2 UNLV in double overtime, and defeated No. 3 Wyoming in the semifinals. Moe notched her second 20-point performance with 22 points in the win over the Lady Rebels, where she went 10-for-10 from the foul line. Through the team’s four games, Moe scored in double figures in all four.
