FORT COLLINS, Colo - Nevada Women's Golf opened the Ben Connell Ram Classic with 36 holes of play, Monday, opening with a two-round total of 586 (+13), finishing the day in 11th after carding rounds of 295 and 294.

Coco Kolbas paced Nevada on the opening day, opening with an even-par 72 in the first round after recording one birdie and one bogey to pair with 16 pars. Kolbas played the second round in one over-par 73 (+1) highlighted by four birdies, three of those coming in her final six holes, giving her five total birdies across the first 36 holes, the most among the Wolf Pack lineup, tied with Payton Lovisa. Kolbas sits in 26th at one over-par. 

Payton Lovisa delivered a steady performance across both rounds, in the opening round, Lovisa carded an four over-par 76, highlighted by one birdie, offset by two bogies and a triple. Lovisa closed the day with a 72 (E) that featured four birdies and two double bogies. Lovisa finished the opening 36 holes tied for 40th at four over-par, she is tied with Kolbas for most Pack birdies made, making five in the opening 36 holes. 

Marina Nonaka carded a 76 (+4) in the opening round, highlighted by two birdies offset by four bogies and a double. Nonaka showed grit in round two, carding a two over-par 74, capped by three birdies, with two of those coming in her last six holes. She sits in a tie for 49th at +6. 

Freshman Varaya Wisitsakda posted Nevada's lowest round of the tournament so far with an opening one-under 71 in her first career round for the Wolf Pack. Wisitsakda's round featured clean golf, as she made two birdies offset by one bogey. Wisitsakda struggled to maintain her momentum in the second round, however her round was highlighted by two birdies coming in her first four holes. Wisitsakda sits in a tie for 45th at +5. 

Rounding out the Pack starting five was Zurich Kanokpornvasin, who carded an opening 82 (+10) in the first round of her Wolf Pack career. Kanokpornvasin showed more promise in round two, playing much cleaner golf, making four bogies offset by a birdie at her final hole. She sits in 73rd at 13 over-par.
