Erica Lynch and
Peyton Wells continued their good starts to the weekend at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe, each turning in a top-seven finish in the slalom Sunday.
Lynch finished sixth with a combined time of 1:46.13, sitting sixth after the first run with a time of 51.18 then holding her spot through the second run.
Wells used a strong second run to climb into seventh place. Sitting 14th after the first run, his second-run time of 51.45 was the third-fastest in the field, allowing him to climb seven spots for the top Nevada men's finish at 1:40.06. Wells was one of just two Wolf Pack men to finish both runs, as
Tommaso Speri finished 13th in 1:40.72.
Jessica Blackburn came in the top 20 Sunday, finishing at 1:47.93 while
Zali Sutton (1:48.23) and
Sophia Falter (1:54.46) also completed both runs.
The Wolf Pack sits in sixth place on the team leaderboard with 97 points. The racers move on to the first of two days of the giant slalom Monday, with tomorrow's event serving as a RMISA Alpine Qualifier.
