Nevada wins on the road 81-66 against Air Force

USAFA, Colo. - Nevada secured an 81-66 victory against Air Force (3-15; 0-6 MW) on Saturday afternoon to improve to a 13-5; 5-2 MW record. The Pack now has three road Mountain West wins, putting them tied with Utah State (15-2; 6-1 MW).

Led by Corey Camper Jr., the Pack had five players scoring in the double digits to pace the offense against the Falcons. Camper Jr. scored 23 points of his own and was followed by Tayshawn Comer (14), Elijah Price (13), Chuck Bailey III (12), and Vaughn Weems (11).

Despite key players being out due to injury, Nevada's bench continues to step up as they outscored the Falcons 18-7, with Chuck Bailey III leading the secondary.

With Camper Jr. and Price leading the team in rebounds with nine and eight rebounds, respectively, Nevada totaled 36 boards while Air Force had 21.

As a team, Nevada shot 52.9 percent (27-of-51) from the field, 53 percent (8-of-15) from three-pointers, and 90.5 percent (19-of-21) from the line. The Pack won the paint battle, as they scored 34-14 against the Falcons.

On the defense, Price led the team with two blocks and a steal, while Camper Jr. and Weems had two steals apiece.

First Half:
The Falcons' three-point shooting game came out strong in the first half, putting them ahead of the Pack, 16-9 at the 13-minute mark.

Nevada responded with a seven-point run to tie the game on a Bailey III free throw.

The Pack took control of the game, extending its lead to 14 points with a Camper Jr. layup on the fast break.

The Falcons tried to cut the deficit, but it wasn't enough, and the Pack ended the half with a 40-29 lead.

Second Half:
The Pack did not slow down, continuing with their momentum at the start of the second half.

Nevada kept extending the scoring as they put up a 20-point lead at the seven-minute mark, going to a media timeout.

The Falcons did not respond, as Nevada closed the game, 81-66, for their third road Mountain West win.
