Reno, Nev. - Nevada Men's Golf concluded play at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational Monday, posting a final round team total of 282 (-6) to place 4th as a team, with an overall score of -10 (295-277-282=854).Â
Supakit (Oak) Seelanagae headlined the Pack finishers, posting a bogey-free final round of five under-par 67, to place 2nd overall at -11 (69-69-67=205). Seelanagae's three rounds under 70 tie his career best total strokes for the Pack and are the lowest total to par in his career.Â
Ben Ortwein finished off a solid tournament with a final round score of two under-par 70 that included four birdies and two bogies. Ortwein finished in 12th place at -5 (73-68-70=211), his best finish as a part of the Wolf Pack.Â
Also posting a two under-par 70 in the final round was freshman
Riki Matsumoto, who played solidly after struggling in round one. His round included three birdies and one bogey, pushing him up into 42nd at +2 (78-70-70=218).Â
Aaron Leach was the last counting score for the Wolf Pack in the final round, posting a three over-par 75. Leach's round was highlighted by three birdies but he struggled to find any momentum on the final day.
Rounding out the Pack's starting five was
Jonathan Kim, who posted a final round 77 (+5) to place 103rd at +13 (77-75-77=229).Â
Out at the individual tournament, Tiger Xie led the way for the Pack with a final round 68 to place 3rd at -8. Next best was
Monte Chumchaivate who posted a final round 70 (-2) to place 10th.
Ryan Sear was next best finishing at -2, followed by
Rishi Gupta in 18th at -1. Rounding out the Pack's individuals were
Liam Gobin in 25th at +5 and
Kevin Zhang in 30th at +8.Â
The Pack are next in action at the Marquette Collegiate starting Oct. 5.Â
