Reno, Nev. - Nevada Men's Golf continued play at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational Sunday, posting a second round team total of 277 (-11) to skyrocket into 5th place prior to tomorrow's final round.Â
Ben Ortwein had a fast start to round two, making five birdies in his first six holes on his way to a four under-par 68. Ortwein moved into the top-10 with his stellar second round and will look to chase Pack front runner Seelanagae tomorrow.Â
Supakit (Oak) Seelanagae backed up yesterday's 69 with another 69 (-3) today. Seelanagae's round included five birdies and two bogies, placing him in 2nd heading into tomorrow's final round.Â
Riki Matsumoto had a solid bounce back round, posting a second round 70 (-2) that included five birdies offset by three bogies. He will look for more of the same form tomorrow as he tries to creep back up the leaderboard.Â
Aaron Leach also bounced back from his round yesterday, posting a second round score of two under-par 70. Leach's round included four birdies offset by two bogies. He sits in 48th heading into tomorrow's final round.Â
Rounding out the Pack scores for round two was
Jonathan Kim who posted a three over-par 75. Kim's round was highlighted by three birdies but he will look for a cleaner card tomorrow as he heads into the final round.
At the individual tournament,
Rishi Gupta led the way for the Pack, posting a second round 65 (-7) that included six birdies and an eagle. Gupta shot 21 places up the leaderboard into 4th. Tiger Xie matched yesterday's round of two under-par today to sit in 8th at -4.
Monte Chumchaivate had an up and down day making two birdies and an eagle offset by two bogies and a double, he sits in 13th.
Liam Gobin had a solid bounce back round on day two, posting a 68 (-4) that included seven birdies, he sits in 15th.
Ryan Sear played a solid round, posting a one under-par 71 in round two. Sear sits 16th heading into the final round.
Kevin Zhang rounded out the individuals, posting a one-over par 73 to sit 28th at +3.Â
The Pack will be back in action tomorrow looking for more of the same in round three.Â
