Reno, Nev. - Nevada Men's Golf kicked off play at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational today at Eisenhower Golf Course in Colorado Springs. The Pack posted a first round total of 295 (+7). 

Supakit (Oak) Seelanagae was the front runner for the Wolf Pack, posting a three under-par 69, closing the round with five birdies in his last eight holes to come in in five under par 31. Seelanagae sits in 3rd heading into tomorrow's second round. 

Ben Ortwein was next best for the Wolf Pack, posting a one over-par 73 that included five birdies offset by six bogies. Ortwein sits in 36th heading into tomorrow's second round. 

Aaron Leach posted a first round 76 (+4), placing him in 77th. Leach fought back to make two birdies in his last six holes, but will look to have a cleaner card tomorrow. 

The Pack's final counting score came from Jonathan Kim, who posted a five over-par 77 in round one. Kim made three birdies and three bogies to head out in even-par 36, but shot a back nine 41 to post a 77. Kim sits in 91st heading into round two. 

Freshman Riki Matsumoto posted a six over-par 78 that included just one birdie. Matsumoto will look for a cleaner card tomorrow, supplement by more birdies. 

At the individual tournament, Monte Chumchaivate and Tiger Xie both posted rounds of 70 (-2). Ryan Sear was next best for the Pack, posting a one over-par 73, Rishi Gupta and Kevin Zhang both posted two over-par 74's and Liam Gobin posted a three over-par 75. 

The Pack will be back in action tomorrow for round two.
