This Week In Wolf Pack Athletics

RENO, Nev. - Nevada Football opens up its 2025 home slate this Saturday, hosting Sacramento State at 2 p.m. at Mackay Stadium. Meanwhile, Wolf Pack Women's Soccer heads to SoCal for matches at Long Beach State and California Baptist, and Volleyball travels to the "Little Apple," Manhattan, Kansas, for matches against NC State and host Kansas State. Men's Golf opens its fall campaign at the Golfweek Fall Challenge in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, from Sunday-Tuesday, Sept. 7-9.

Nevada opens its 2025 home campaign this Saturday, hosting Sacramento State for a 2 p.m. kickoff. Saturday's contest will be broadcast on Nevada Sports Net and streamed on the Mountain West and the MW App, with Alex Margulies (play-by-play), Lucas Weber (analyst) and Shannon Kelly (sideline) on the call.

The Wolf Pack Radio Network will call the game on KOZZ 105.7 FM in Northern Nevada, online at www.thevarsitynetwork.com and on the Varsity Network app. John Ramey (play-by-play) and Mike Edwards (analyst) will be in the booth, with the 60-minute pregame show to begin at 1 p.m.

The Nevada Women's Soccer team is back on the road this week, set for a pair of competitive match ups in Southern California.

The Wolf Pack opens the weekend against Long Beach State on Thursday, September 4, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. at George Allen Field in Long Beach. Nevada will then travel south to Riverside to face Cal Baptist on Sunday, September 7, at 7 p.m. under the lights at the CBU Soccer Stadium.

Nevada continues to build momentum early in the season, looking to bring energy and grit against two strong non-conference opponents. Fans can follow the action live through game updates on Nevada's official athletics website and social media channels.

MEN'S GOLF
Golfweek Fall Challenge

The Nevada Men's Golf team is back in action for the first event of the fall at the Golfweek Fall Challenge at True Blue Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Pack return to Myrtle Beach for the second time in the last six months, having competed at Coastal Carolina's General James Hackler Championship in March. 

The Pack are returning their best performers from last season, and are looking to build on last season's body of work. Adding four new freshmen, the team is deeper than ever before and the team will be looking for success early in the fall season.

Nevada volleyball is coming off an opening weekend competing in the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Weber State, where they went 1-2. The Pack forced five sets in two of the three games. After falling to Weber State in three straight to open the weekend, Nevada bounced back to down Southern Utah in five, before dropping a five-set match to UC Irvine the following day.

Nevada will head back on the road this week, competing in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Classic, hosted by Kansas State. The team is set to face two undefeated opponents in NC State and Kansas State. 

This will be the Pack's last road trip before their home opener on Sept. 11 against Eastern Washington.
