This Week In Wolf Pack Athletics

RENO, Nev. - It's the final non-conference weekend of fall for the Nevada football, women's soccer, and women's volleyball teams as all three head out onto the road.

Wolf Pack Football closes its non-conference slate Saturday at 4 p.m. PT at Western Kentucky, while Soccer plays a non-conference match at San Diego State Thursday night and Volleyball travels to Bozeman, Montana to face host Montana State and Santa Clara Thursday and Friday, respectively.

Nevada men's and women's golf are both playing this week, with the women's golf opening their season in South Carolina at the Furman's Lady Paladin. The men head to their second event of the season, playing in Colorado Springs at Air Force's Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational.

Nevada's regular-season non-conference slate wraps this Saturday as the Wolf Pack travels to Western Kentucky. The game will kick off at 4 p.m. PT and be streamed on ESPN+, with Tyler Eaton (play-by-play) and Terry Obee (analyst) on the call.

The Wolf Pack Radio Network will call the game on KOZZ 105.7 FM in Northern Nevada, online at www.thevarsitynetwork.com and on the Varsity Network app. John Ramey (play-by-play), Mike Edwards (analyst) and Terrence Newman (sideline) will be on the call, with the 60-minute pregame show to begin at 3 p.m. PT.

Nevada Men's Tennis opens its fall campaign with a three-team fall event, the Reno Invitational, at McArthur Tennis Center.

Players from Nevada, Air Force, and UC Davis will be in action from Friday to Sunday. First serve in the opening slate of matches Friday is set for 10 a.m., with first-serve times of 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Wolf Pack volleyball is coming off of a successful weekend at home, going 2-1 in the Nevada Invitational. The Pack is heading out on the road to finish its non-conference schedule in the Montana State 2025 EVEN Hotel Bobcat Classic. On Thursday, Nevada will take on the host team, Montana State at 6 PM, followed by Santa Clara the following day at 12 PM.

Nevada Men's Golf heads to their second event of the season coming off the back of a 4th place finish at the Golfweek Fall Challenge a week ago. Leaders for the Pack individually were Jonathan Kim and Aaron Leach who placed tied for 7th and 11th respectively. 

The tournament will be played at Eisenhower Golf Course and this will be the Pack's first time back at Air Force's event since the 2021-22 season where the Pack finished runner-up.

Nevada Women's Golf opens their season in Greenville, South Carolina for Furman's Lady Paladin at Furman University Golf Course. The Pack will be returning to the event for the first time in two years, having last played the event in 2023, where the team placed sixth and Anna Shultse led the way for the Pack with a third place finish at seven under-par. 

The Pack are looking for a hot start to the season following their strong finish to last season at the Mountain West Championships, where they earned 3rd place.

The Wolf Pack travels to San Diego State for a non-conference clash on Thursday, September 18th at the SDSU Sports Deck. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM PT.

With Mountain West play kicking off next week, Nevada is looking to build momentum and fine-tune its game against a competitive Aztecs squad. The match offers a final tune-up before conference action begins, and the team is focused on carrying confidence and cohesion into league play.
