RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada was proudly represented on two of the world's biggest stages this summer, as Wolf Pack swimmers and divers competed at both the
2025 FISU World University Games and the
2025 World Aquatics Championships.
At the World University Games, held earlier this summer, diver
Bailey Heydra and swimmer
Sara Mihalic competed among some of the top collegiate athletes from across the globe. Heydra delivered standout performances, placing
ninth in the 3-meter springboard and
12th in the 1-meter springboard, finishing inside the top 15 in both events. Mihalic swam a full slate of breaststroke races, finishing
27th in the 200-meter,
29th in the 100-meter, and
30th in the 50-meter.
Soon after, the Wolf Pack's international presence continued at the
World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, where Nevada was represented by Heydra once again, alongside swimmer
Enkhkhuslen Batbayar.
Batbayar turned in two strong performances in the pool, highlighted by a
25th-place finish in the 400-meter freestyle and a
30th-place finish in the 200-meter freestyle. She also contributed as a member of the mixed relay event. Racing against some of the fastest swimmers in the world, the Nevada standout demonstrated poise and competitiveness on one of swimming's biggest stages.
On the diving side, Heydra competed in three events, highlighted by a personal-best
14th-place finish in the 3-meter synchronized springboard. She also placed
29th in the 3-meter springboard and
32nd in the 1-meter springboard, continuing her string of international appearances this summer.
The
FISU World University Games and the
World Aquatics Championships are two of the most prestigious events in international sport, bringing together the best student-athletes and world-class competitors from across the globe. Nevada's representation at both events highlights the Wolf Pack's growing tradition of producing athletes who compete and succeed at the highest level.
