Reese Lamph Returns to Nevada as Assistant Coach

RENO, Nev. — University of Nevada Head Swimming & Diving Coach Brendon Bray announced today that 2022 Nevada graduate Reese Lamph has been named Assistant Swimming Coach for the Wolf Pack.

Lamph competed for Nevada from 2020 to 2022 after transferring from the University of Houston, where she once held the school record in the 1650 freestyle (16:30.62). During her time with the Pack, Lamph was a standout performer, contributing significantly in the 500 freestyle, 1650 freestyle, and 400 IM. Her most notable season came in 2021, when she helped lead Nevada to a runner-up finish at the conference championship and earned multiple individual event finals appearances.

A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lamph graduated from Palo Verde High School, where she held school records in the 100 backstroke and 200 medley relay. She also trained with the nationally renowned Sandpipers of Nevada under U.S. Olympic coach Ron Aitken. Her coaching experience includes serving as an assistant coach alongside her mother, Becky Lamph, head coach at Andelson High School in Las Vegas.

Lamph now takes the next step in her coaching career at the NCAA Division I level, returning to Nevada in a new role on the deck.

"We couldn't be more excited to have Reese join our staff at Nevada," said Head Coach Brendon Bray. "With her great attitude and respected background swimming at one of the best clubs in the country, I think she is the perfect fit for our staff. It is special for me to have worked with Reese as an athlete because I know the positive impact she can have on the team, and I look forward to having her help our program in this new role. We can't wait to get started!"

Lamph will begin her duties immediately as the Wolf Pack prepares for the upcoming season.
