Nevada Holds Solo Lead After Day One at Mountain West Championship

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. — Nevada Women's Golf opened the 2025 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championship with a program-record 288 (E) to take the solo lead at Mission Hills Country Club.
Anna Shultse led the way with a 2-under 70, tying for second individually after posting five birdies and going -2 on par 5s. Nikki Chindavong and Raesa Sheikh each carded even-par 72s. Chindavong led the field with six birdies, while Sheikh birdied late to get back to even.

Payton Lovisa rebounded after a double on hole one to play her final 17 holes at even par, finishing with a steady 74 (+2). Gabby Kano posted a 77 (+5) to close out Nevada's scoring.
