Reno, Nev. - Liam Gobin wins his first Mountain West Golfer of the Week award, following a strong performance at the General James Hackler Championship. 

Gobin carded a season best 69 (-3) in the final round to finish at even-par (73-74-69=216) and place in a tie for 23rd. Gobin finished tied for 6th for his par count for the tournament, helping the team card the most pars for the tournament out of 16 teams. Gobin's last round and finish also helped Nevada to beat multiple top-50 ranked teams, a good progression for the Wolf Pack starting the Spring season. 

Gobin will look for more success next week as the Nevada Men's Golf Team compete on March 27-29 at The Goodwin in Palo Alto, hosted by Stanford. The Wolf Pack do have previous success in the event, with Sam Harned and Peyton Callens both picking up individual wins in the last five years. Gobin will look to follow in their footsteps.
