Nevada heads to Alaska for RMISA Championships, Seawolf Invite

2025 RMISA Championships
Thurs.-Sat., Feb. 20-22
Girdwood, Alaska - Alyeska Ski Resort

RENO, Nev. - Nevada Skiing heads to Alaska for two competitions this week, culminating with the RMISA Championships Thursday (Giant Slalom) and Saturday (Slalom).

Race days will alternate between the Seawolf Invite, hosted by Alaska-Anchorage, and the conference meet, at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska.

Nevada's competition will begin Wednesday with the Seawolf Invite Giant Slalom and continue with the same race for the RMISA Championships Thursday. The Slalom races will take place Friday (Seawolf Invite) and Saturday (RMISA Championships).

The Wolf Pack is coming off strong performances a week ago in Bozeman and Park City. Jeger Halbjoerhus and Iver Walday Naess finished in the Top 10 on Slalom at the Utah Invitational, with Halbjoerhus just missing the podium with a fifth-place finish while Naess took eighth.

Zali Sutton posted a pair of top-17 finishes at the same meet, coming in 12th among RMISA skiers in Slalom and 17th in Giant Slalom.

This week's meets also serve as final opportunities for the Wolf Pack skiers to put themselves in position to qualify for the NCAA Championships, set to begin March 5 in Hanover, N.H.
