RENO, Nev. - Nevada women's basketball will face Fresno State on the road Wednesday night, looking to split the regular season series with the Bulldogs.
Just a few weeks ago, the Wolf Pack came up short when they hosted the Bulldogs in the annual When I Grow Up Game, ending it with a score of 65-59.
In that game,
Imbie Jones led the Pack with a career high 16 points, while
Lexie Givens led in rebounding with eight.
Izzy Sullivan had 14 points, followed by
Victoria Davis with 12.Â
For Fresno State, Mia Jacobs led with 23 points and 15 rebounds. Mariah Elohim contributed with 13 points.
Nevada led through the entire first half except for two ties in the opening quarter. The Pack held onto the advantage until there were three and a half minutes left in the third, when the Bulldogs got their first lead of the game.Â
Despite the lead change, Nevada grabbed it back and was in front heading into the final quarter. It was a battle until the end with Fresno State coming out on top.Â
This time around, Nevada is coming off of a loss to San José State over the weekend, 72-67. Givens had a season high 21 points to go along with seven rebounds. Sullivan had 14 points, while
Dymonique Maxie contributed with 12.
Fresno State is coming off a tough win over Utah State, 81-73, in overtime. Elohim led in scoring with 17 points. Jacobs had another double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing 15 boards.
