RENO, Nev. - After a two-game win streak at home, Nevada women's basketball will compete in the Portland Invitational presented by Oxford Suites this weekend, taking on Eastern Washington and the host, Portland Pilots.
The Pack will kick off the weekend against Eastern Washington on Friday at 5 p.m., followed by Portland on Saturday at 3 p.m.
On Monday night, Nevada won its fourth straight home game after defeating Utah Valley, 71-42.
Gabby Ramos had a standout performance with 20 points, knocking down five threes.
Maia Rosarion had nine points, going 4-for-4 on the night.
Skylar Durley also had nine points with six rebounds.
Eastern Washington enters the tournament off of a loss to Gonzaga on Sunday, 79-60. Elyn Bowers led for the Eagles with 21 points, six rebounds and four steals. Kourtney Grossman followed with 10 points and seven rebounds.
This will be the second meeting between the teams. The first came in December 2021 in Seattle, with the Pack coming out on top, 71-60.
Portland enters the weekend after going 0-2 in the Bank of Hawai'i Classic. On Friday, the Pilots fell to Idaho State, 58-57, followed by a loss to Hawaii, 66-61, on Sunday.
Dyani Ananiev led in scoring with 16 points against the Tigers, followed by Lainey Spear with 11 points and nine rebounds. Rhyan Mogel led against the Rainbow Warriors with 16 points of her own. Both Ananiev and Nicole Anderson recorded 13 points.
The Pack and Pilots met last season in the Nugget Classic, where Nevada dropped the game to the WCC regular season champions, 88-72.
