RENO, Nev. - Nevada falls to UC Davis, 75-71, at home Tuesday night.
Elijah Price and
Peyton White led the offense with 15 points each. Price also led the team in rebounds with six, while White had four rebounds.
Corey Camper Jr. (12 points),
Vaughn Weems (11), and
Tayshawn Comer (10) were also in the double digits for the Pack offense.
As a team, Nevada (3-2) shot 39.6 percent from the field, 40 percent from behind the arc, and 71.4 percent from the free-throw line. The Pack defense was unable to stop the Aggies, who shot 48.9 percent from the field, 42.3 percent from the three-point line, and 74.1 percent from the free-throw line.
Nevada continues to make an impact on the glass with 32 rebounds, including 9 offensive rebounds. Price (6) was followed by Comer (5), Weems (4), and White (4) in rebounds.
First Half:
The Aggies took charge of the game early on, going up 8-5. Then White and Weems came off the bench to keep the Pack in the game, tying it at 17-17.
UC Davis had a six-point run to take the lead back until Weems got loose in transition for an and-one. Comer's field goal then tied the game 33-33 going into halftime.
Second Half:
Nevada came out of the half taking charge, going on a 4-point run leading into the under-16-minute media timeout.
The Aggies made a six-point run to take the lead at the two-minute mark, which the Pack could not come back from. Nevada loses at home for the first time this season, 71-75.
