RENO, Nev. - Nevada Baseball's 2024 game themes for the remainder of the home campaign have been set. The theme days and weekends, and excitement at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park gets started with this weekend's Silver State Series presented by America First Credit Union contest against UNLV.
Food, drink, and ticket specials, and any planned giveaways, for theme games will be announced closer to those game dates.
The Battle Born weekend between the in-state rivals runs Friday-Sunday, March 22-24, with first pitches set for 6:05 p.m., 2:05 p.m., and 12:05 p.m., respectively.
Nevada's home series with Air Force Thursday-Saturday, March 28-30, will serve as "Hero Weekend,"
Food and drink themes will feature in midweek home contests against Sacramento State (April 2) and Saint Mary's (May 1), with the matchup against the Hornets a "Taco Tuesday" game and the game against the Gaels being "Wine Wednesday."
The Wolf Pack will celebrate its local youth baseball community during the April 12-14 series against San José State, holding its Kids Weekend and Little League and Camp Nights.
Midweek, non-conference contests against Oregon State will be Athletics Staff Appreciation Night (April 16) and the University of Nevada's Sesquicentennial Celebration (April 17), and April 29's home contest against San Francisco will be a "Nevada's College Town" celebration of the Reno and Northern Nevada community.
Nevada will open May with a "Pack Party" weekend series against Houston Christian, with Saturday's doubleheader featuring as a Star Wars "May The 4th Be With You" celebration and Sunday's finale a Cinco de Mayo-themed outing.
After May 14's "Country Night" against Pacific, the Pack will close the home season with Senior Weekend, May 16-18, against San Diego State.
