RENO, Nev. - Nevada's Mikey Cruz Jr. was named to the ABCA West All-Region Second Team, the organization announced Tuesday morning.

Cruz was honored in the designated hitter slot on the list. It is his second postseason honor of 2026 after being named to the All-Mountain West Second Team in May.

In his debut season in Silver and Blue, Cruz put up career numbers after breaking into the lineup in March. He went on to lead the Wolf Pack with a .403 batting average while also topping the club in slugging (.678), on-base percentage (.471) and OPS (1.149). Cruz collected 60 hits including eight homers, 13 doubles and two triples while driving in 42 runs and scoring 30 runs.

From his first start March 8, Cruz caught fire, hitting safely in 24-straight games through April 25, a span over which he batted .469 (46-for-98) with six homers, 10 doubles, and 37 RBIs.

In Mountain West play, he hit safely in 19 of the 21 conference games in which he appeared and finished the regular season fifth in the conference with a .407 average. He also ranked in the MW top 10 in doubles (10, T-third), on-base percentage (.469, seventh) and slugging (.605,10th). Cruz posted 10 multi-hit games during the Mountain West season, including one four-hit game and three with three hits.
