RENO, Nev. - Nevada women's basketball will open conference play at home on Sunday, hosting San Jose State at 1 PM.
The Pack returns home after competing in the Maui classic before heading into a short break for Christmas. Nevada comes into this weekend with a new fire and a fresh start, ready to tackle conference play.
Lexie Givens leads the Pack as she averages 6.2 rebounds and 12.2 points per game.
Dymonique Maxie averages 1.8 steals and 2.4 assists per game.
San Jose State enters conference play coming off of a 100-44 win over Bethesda. Finau Tonga averages 10.6 points per game for the Spartans, while Djessira Diawara and Kaliyah Dillard average seven rebounds a game.
The start of conference play will bring not just Nevada and San Jose State to an even playing field once again, but all Mountain West teams as they make a run for the championship.
Nevada will have a quick turnaround as the team will take on San Jose State this weekend before heading out on the road again to face New Mexico on January 1st and Air Force on the 4th.
