KAPOLEI, O'AHU, Hawai'i – The Nevada Wolf Pack opened their participation at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational with a solid first-round performance, tying for 3rd place with Osaka Gakuin and Austin Peay State, each finishing at 2-under-par (-2). The Nevada Wolf Pack posted a combined total score of 362 for Round 1 at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational.
The Pack posted compatible scores in a highly competitive field, keeping them in contention with the top teams. Colorado State rules the field after a dominant first round at 12-under-par (-12), followed by UC Irvine at 4-under-par (-4).
Nikki was Nevada's standout, finishing with a round score of 66 (-6). Her remarkable play, including multiple birdies led her to one of the top individual scores of the tournament so far.
Gabby had a strong outing, shooting a 71 (-1). Her steady performance kept Nevada competitive, with just a few missed opportunities preventing an even lower score.
Anna Shultse,
Payton Lovisa, and
Raesa Sheikh also contributed solid rounds, keeping the team's overall score at -2 and helping Nevada remain within striking distance of the leaders.
The Wolf Pack will return tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. HT for Round 2 of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational at Kapolei, O'ahu, Hawai'i.
