Gabby Kano wrapped up a strong performance at the Molly Invitational Tuesday, coming in tied for 11th in a crowded field.
In a final round which featured just 17 rounds of even par or better, and just two rounds of two-under or better, Kano battled her way to a two-over 74 to finish the tournament at +1 (71-72-74=217), just eight strokes off the pace of 2024 national second runner-up Paula Martin Sampedro of Stanford and San Francisco's Riana Mission.
As a team, Nevada shot 17-over in the final round to finish ninth at +42 (297-304-305=906).
Anna Shultse matched Kano's team-best 74 for the final round to finish at +12 (77-77-74=228), tying for 32nd with
Nikki Chindavong (75-76-77=228).
Marina Nonaka concluded her first collegiate tournament in 48th place, while
Raesa Sheikh took 58th.
The Wolf Pack returns to action in three weeks, completing its fall slate at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational on Oahu from Oct. 21-23.
