ERIN, Wis. - The Nevada Men's Golf team shot 313 (+25) in the second round of the Marquette Intercollegiate on Monday, and the Pack will head into the third and final round on Tuesday in 12th place in the team standings.
Alex Maxwell bounced back from his first round 81 to lead the Pack on the second day of competition at Erin Hills Golf Course, recording a 76 (+4) to advance four spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 63rd entering the final round Tuesday. Maxwell earned 10 pars and two birdies throughout the day.Â
Supakit (Oak) Seelanagae had the second-best outing of the day for the Pack, carding a 77 (+5) after tallying nine pars and three birdies. Seelanagae leads Nevada on the individual leaderboard heading into the final round, as he is currently tied for 35th. Â
Keita Okada shot a 79 (+7) in the second round, and he is tied with Maxwell in the 63rd spot on the leaderboard after 36 holes of competition. Â
Liam Gobin recorded an 81 (+9) on Monday, and he sits three spots ahead of Maxwell and Okada in a tie for 60th entering the third and final round, while Tom Patterson carded an 83 on Monday and will head into Tuesday's round tied for 52nd. Â
Competing as an individual participant, freshman Jonathan Kim had an exceptional day, shooting an even-par 72 to advance 25 spots on the leaderboard and into a tie for 35th place. Kim tallied 11 pars, two birdies, and an eagle on the par-4 15th hole. Â
