GREENVILLE, S.C. - Anna Shultse shot even par and Leah John carded a 70 (-2) on the second day of competition at the Lady Paladin Invitational, and the Nevada Women's Golf team improved their score by three strokes compared to the first round to advance into sole possession of sixth place on the leaderboard.
The Pack shot 292 (+4) on Saturday, with John, Shultse, and Gabby Kano each turning in impressive rounds.Â
After recording a 70 (-2), John improved 21 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 11th, and she sits just four strokes back of the top-five entering the final round on Sunday morning. John was exceptional throughout the day, tallying 14 pars, three birdies, and just one bogey.Â
Shultse followed up her tremendous round one performance with another strong round on Saturday, carding an even-par 72 after recording 12 pars, three birdies, and three bogeys. Shultse is tied for second overall in the individual standings and is just two strokes back from the leader heading into the third round.Â
Kano also shot even-par for the second round, advancing her 28 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 43rd. Kano had 12 pars, three birdies, and three bogeys throughout the day.Â
Raesa Sheikh carded a 78 (+6) on the day, placing her in a tie for 71st entering the third round, while Kaitlin Fleiner finished the second round in 99th after recording an 86 (+14) on Saturday.Â
Individual Participants
Competing as an individual participant, freshman Nikki Chindavong had another solid performance on Saturday, carding a 74 (+2) for the second round. Chindavong had 12 pars and two birdies throughout the day. She is tied with Kano in the 43rd position on the leaderboard entering the final round.Â
