Canadian Exhibition Tour: Day 6

LANGLEY TOWNSHIP, British Columbia - It was back to business on Nevada women's basketball's final full day in Canada and the Pack will be taking home three victories from its Canadian Exhibition Tour.

The usual game day routine of breakfast and shootaround tipped off the final full day in Canada. In the team's traditional post-shootaround halfcourt contest, senior Gabby Giuffre sank the first halfcourt shot attempt and no one else managed to match her stroke.

After an hour of recovery and lunch, the team headed to Golden Ears Park for a quick hike. One of British Columbia's largest parks, Golden Ears has an extensive number of hiking and horseback-riding trails. Alouette Lake, the most popular photo spots for the team, had spectacular mountain views and cold waters that reminded the team of being back in Lake Tahoe.

Following the hike, the team had a few hours of down time. Some student-athletes took a quick nap while others worked on homework or catched up with loved ones. The team quickly got refocused for scouting its opponent, the UBCO Heat.

The UBCO Heat's full court pressure defense did not faze the Pack, comfortably getting into their offense and getting easy baskets in transition. Nevada controlled the tempo of the game and used their strength and size to finish through contact.

Maintaining its lead for the majority of the game, the Pack came away with their third and final win of the Canadian Exhibition Tour.

"I thought the team played aggressively against pressure," guard Kaylee Borden said. "I felt like we really finished strong and came together as a team this trip. I can't wait to see what this upcoming season has in store for us."

Nevada will cross back into United States territory on Wednesday and fly back home to Reno. Fans can stay updated and catch all the behind-the-scenes content by following Facebook, Twitter (X) and Instagram @NevadaWBB.
