RENO, Nev. - Fall sports are back in full swing as Nevada volleyball begins the 2023 campaign and Nevada soccer continues its non-conference road trip starting Friday.
WOMEN'S SOCCER
After taking on the No. 5 team in the nation, Nevada soccer is coming off a 0-0 scoreless draw at Richmond under first-year Nevada head coach
Vanessa Valentine. Nevada continues its road trip this week, traveling to Southern Utah (Friday) and Utah Tech (Sunday).
The Pack's goalkeeper's have made the biggest impact to start the season.
Emily McCue recorded 11 saves at No. 5 Virginia, the most of any Nevada goalkeeper in program history against a nationally ranked team. McCue, who played her first match since Sept. 19, 2021 after battling injury last season, obtained a career-high for saves. Redshirt freshman
Ally Larkin came up with a shutout in her first career match at Richmond. She is the first Wolf Pack goalkeeper to come up with a shutout in her first appearance in the net since
Kendal Stovall in 2018 (Aug. 17 vs. Idaho, W, 1-0).
Southern Utah is coming off a nine-win season in 2022 while Utah Tech went 10-6-2 and qualified for the WAC Tournament last season.
