STOCKTON, Calif. — Nevada Women's Soccer secured its first victory of the 2026 season on Thursday night, rallying in the second half to defeat Pacific, 2–1, and deliver Coach Jeremy Evans his first win at the helm of the Wolf Pack.
The opening half featured steady back‑and‑forth play, with both sides trading possession and chances. Pacific broke through just before the break, converting in the 44th minute to take a 1–0 lead into halftime.
Nevada responded with urgency out of the locker room. In the 61st minute,
Charlotte Bonney scored the equalizer, the first goal of her career, to give the Pack momentum. Ten minutes later, Nevada completed the comeback when
Jasmine Navarro calmly finished a 71st‑minute penalty kick, giving the Pack a 2–1 advantage.
Mia Collins anchored Nevada's defensive unit in goal, stepping up when the match tightened in the second half. Collins turned away six shots in the final 45 minutes, protecting the lead for the Pack and securing the win.
Nevada now turns its attention to the home opener, on Sunday to host Sacramento State at Mackay Stadium. The Pack looks to build on its first victory of the season and set the tone on its home field.
