RENO, Nev. - The Nevada Men's Golf program and Head Coach Trake Carpenter have announced the addition of Enrique Dimayuga, a transfer from the University of Arkansas. 

"Enrique is the perfect piece to finalize our roster for the next two seasons," said Carpenter. "He has proven himself on the biggest stages of college and amateur golf, but his character and leadership qualities are even better. His philosophies and perspectives from his experiences over the last few years will make a tremendous impact on our team the day he arrives to campus. We couldn't be more excited about having him on board as we start to look towards hosting an NCAA Regional in 2025 at Montreux." 

Dimayuga spent the first two and a half years of his collegiate career at Florida Atlantic before transferring to Arkansas where he competed for the Razorbacks for the past year and a half. He will graduate from Arkansas this fall before enrolling at Nevada ahead of the spring 2024 season and he will have one and half years of eligibility remaining with the Pack. 

After joining the Razorbacks ahead of the 2022 spring season, Dimayuga competed in five events for Arkansas over the past year and a half, compiling a scoring average of 74.47.  

He had his best outing at the 2022 Arizona Intercollegiate, where he finished tied for 21st after carding a 212 (-4) across three rounds of competition.  

This past season, Dimayuga had a strong outing at the SEC Match Play event where he finished tied for 61st in the stroke play portion of the tournament before defeating his opponent in just 15 holes in the Match Play portion, helping Arkansas secure a 5-0 victory over Kentucky. 

Prior to joining the Men's Golf program at Arkansas, Dimayuga had a sensational two-year career at Florida Atlantic.  

In his sophomore season, Dimayuga earned First Team All-Conference USA honors after becoming the first FAU Men's Golfer to qualify for the NCAA Regional Round as an individual since 2009.  

He led the team throughout the season with a scoring average of 71.76, and he shot a career-best round of 66 on two separate occasions; the 2021 Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate and the 2021 Bayou City Collegiate Classic. He also put together the best finish of his career at the 2021 Bayou City Collegiate Classic, earning a tie for fourth place after completing the event at seven shots below par (66-70-73=209).  

At the 2021 Tallahassee NCAA Regional, Dimayuga had an impressive showing, finishing tied for 28th overall at +1 (70-74-73=217). 

In his covid-shortened freshman season in 2019-2020, Dimayuga competed in six events for the Owls, earning three top-10 finishes. He had his best performance of the season at the 2020 Fort Lauderdale Invitational, carding a 221 (-5) to finish tied for 8th at the event.  

Originally from London England, Dimayuga has also had a multitude of stellar outings on the amateur circuit. In October of 2021, he finished tied for sixth at the Irish Men's Amateur Open, and in the fall prior to that, he secured a first-place finish at the 2020 Fall Elite Series. Dimayuga also finished tied for fifth at the 2020 English Men's Amateur Championship.  

With the addition of Dimayuga, Nevada continues to retool its roster with a plethora of incoming talent as the Pack prepares for the 2023-24 season.
