SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Nevada women's golfer Victoria Gailey bounced back on the second day of competition at the San Antonio Regional Round, shooting even par (72) to advance 20 spots on the leaderboard, as she is set to enter the final round tied for 32nd overall.
Gailey's 72 was tied for the 11th best score in the entire field for the second round, and she will have the opportunity to continue to advance up the leaderboard with another strong outing in the third round.
Beginning on the 10th hole, Gailey started her round with four consecutive pars, before proceeding to tally a birdie on the par-5 14th hole. She added another par on the 15th; but, she picked up a bogey on the par-3 16th hole.
Gailey followed up the bogey with nine straight pars, as she entered the final two holes of the round at even par.Â
The fifth-year senior tallied her second birdie of the round on the par-5 8th hole; however, she picked up another bogey on the final hole, as she completed the round at even par.Â
Gailey will conclude play at the San Antonio Regional Wednesday morning with one final 18-hole round.Â
