LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Nevada Men's Tennis is set to open the 2023 Mountain West Championship against the Air Force Falcons Wednesday at the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas, with first serve set for 5 p.m. PT.
 
Wednesday's quarterfinal will be a rematch of Nevada's hard-fought 4-3 battle against the Falcons on March 18, when junior Satchel Benn clinched the match for the Pack in a third-set tiebreaker showdown against Air Force's Justin Waldman. The winner of Wednesday's match will move on to the semifinal against the winner of (3) Boise State versus (6) San Diego State that will take place Thursday, April 27 at 5 p.m. PT.
 
The Pack (10-8, 4-2 MW) finished the regular season in second place overall, behind the New Mexico Lobos who were the outright Mountain West regular season champions after winning 4-1 over UNLV in Albuquerque last weekend.
 
The squad will look to capitalize on their success from the 2022-23 season. Last year, Nevada claimed the title as the 2022 Mountain West double champion, winning both the regular season and tournament titles, as well as earning a bid in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.
