SACRAMENTO, Calif - After weather conditions caused play to halt this morning for the second consecutive day at The Causeway Invitational, the Nevada Women's Golf team finished in a tie for ninth place in the abbreviated Causeway Invitational, which was cut down to an 18-hole tournament.
The Pack finished with a team score of 307 (+19) to earn the ninth-place finish.Â
Victoria Gailey finished first in the Nevada lineup and tied for 13th overall after carding a 74 (+2)Â in the 18-hole event. With the finish, Gailey has now finished in the top-17 of all six events that she has competed in this season.Â
Freshman Gabby Kano earned a tie for 31st on the final leaderboard, recording a score of 76 (+4). Kano has now finished in the top-36 of all six events that she has played in this season, including earning a top-22 finish in four events, as the freshman continued her exceptional debut season for the Pack.
Leah John finished third in the Pack lineup and completed the shorted event in a tie for 41st after shooting a 78 (+6).Â
Kaitlin Fleiner recorded an 18-hole score of 79 (+7) to finish tied for 46th, and Anitra Khoth earned a tie for 54th overall after carding an 80 (+8).
Competing as individual participants, Raesa Sheikh and Kayla Nocum each had an impressive performance in the event.
Sheikh finished tied for 13th after recording a 74 (+2), while Nocum earned a tie for 22nd overall after shooting a 75 (+3) over the first 18 holes.

The Nevada Women's Golf team will have nearly a four-week break before their next event, as they are set to compete at the Fresno State Classic in Fresno, California beginning on Monday, March 27.
