RENO, Nev. - Nevada Sports Net and the Wolf Pack athletic department announced Thursday that NSN will broadcast at least 12 Nevada women's basketball games during the 2023-24 season.
The broadcasts will start next week with the regular season opener Thursday, Nov. 9. Nevada women's basketball will open the season against Sacramento State, the defending Big Sky champions and a 2023 NCAA Tournament qualifier.
"We are excited to broadcast 12 women's basketball games this season, which is our most robust offering to date," NSN's director of operations, Anthony Resnick, said. "The level of excitement for the program entering the year is immense, and we can't wait to bring that high level of basketball into the homes and onto the phones of Nevada Wolf Pack fans across Northern Nevada. We want to thank Nevada Athletics for their continued partnership."
The women's broadcast schedule includes four non-league games, including matchups with Sac State, Oregon, San Diego and UC Santa Barbara. The game against Oregon, a five-time Pac 12 champion and three-time Elite Eight qualifier, marks the first home game for Nevada against a Pac-12 team since 2018. NSN also will broadcast MW home games against New Mexico, Air Force, Fresno State, Colorado State, Utah State, San Diego State, Boise State and San Jose State.
On the call for the broadcasts will be NSN's Alex Margulies and Mike Stefansson as well as John Ramey as play-by-play announcers. Former Nevada women's basketball players Ashlee Jones and Dellena Criner will serve as color commentators. The broadcasts will include a mix of simulcasts and full NSN productions. Each game also will stream on NevadaSportsNet.com for free.
NSN broadcast more than 50 live Wolf Pack events during the 2022-23 season and previously announced a 10-game 2023-24 fall broadcast schedule that included football, women's soccer and volleyball games. More broadcasts for the Wolf Pack's winter and spring season will be announced at a later date.
In Northern Nevada, NSN is available over the air on channel 21; Charter channel 787 in HD or 7 in SD; DirecTV and Dish Network on channel 21; or on AT&T U-verse channel 1021 in HD or 21 in SD.
