RENO, Nev. - Nevada volleyball has signed Honolulu, Hawaii native Ambri Hanohano for the 2024 season.

Hanohano, a 5'10" setter, helped lead 'Iolani School to a 19-11 record and fourth in the Hawaii state rankings, while helping lead 'Iolani School to win the state championship during the 2022-23 season. Along with competing for 'Iolani School, Hanohano has represented Ku'ikahi volleyball club for the past five years.
She broke into the 'Iolani varsity team during her freshman year but solidified her spot in the rotation during her sophomore year in 2021. She played 59 sets and tallied 118 assists, 116 digs, 18 service aces, and 59 kills.
In her senior season, Hanohano's 263 assists ranked sixth in the state, averaging 3.8 assists per set. In the same year, she recorded 163 digs, 20 service aces, and 140 kills serving as an opposite hitter for Iolani. The Honolulu native was awarded the 2023 MaxPreps/AVCA Hawaii Player of the Week award during the month of October.
Hanohano finished her high school career with 384 assists, 287 digs, 38 service aces, and 215 kills over 142 sets.
